After news of another massive breach, nobody’s Yahooing today!
Not sure what Yahoo was thinking when they decided not to spend the money on security and let their defenses down in these times. If you have a Yahoo account I would seriously consider moving to a more secure platform. Almost any platform would be better. I’ve always hated seeing Yahoo toolbars when I work on a customer’s computer even before this craziness. They slow down the browsing session and generally supply ad overload. However, this lack of security is inexcusable.
If you have a Yahoo account and simply can’t live without it, then you need to change your password and security info. Also, if you have other accounts that use the same password and/or security information (i.e. mothers maiden name) go change the password and security settings on those accounts also. (Using the same passwords and security info across accounts is bad business anyway.) Don’t just leave it out there after you change over and let your senders know where you’ve moved. Completely remove everything from the account and close it.
